BSX Digital presents the original soundtrack to THE CHAIRMAN composed and Conducted by Jerry Goldsmith. THE CHAIRMAN (known in England as THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN THE WORLD) is a political spy thriller released in June, 1969, in the midst of the Vietnam War. The film starred Gregory Peck, in his fourth lead role for director J. Lee Thompson (previous roles included the magnificent CAPE FEAR in 1962).
The Original 1969 LP release on Tetragrammaton Records contained 12 tracks (11 from the original soundtrack recording plus an extended version of the Love Theme recorded for album release). This release went quickly out-of-print and become a highly sought after collectors item. Our version contains two bonus tracks which are recreations of the love theme from The Chairman, “The World That Only Lovers See.” One recorded for solo piano by Mark Northam, the other being a vocal arrangement by Joohyun Park performed by Katie Campbell, which is the first time the vocal version has ever been recorded.
